The new Wrangler JK, the latest evolution of the Wrangler model, was born in 2007.
While maintaining the style of its previous YJ and TJ versions, the new JK stands out for its completely new look, both in its interior trim and exterior line, with the new addition, for the first time since its inception, of the much larger 4-door model. comfortable in terms of interior space and designed to compete with the Hummer H3 and thus gain a market share.
Two engines are available: the 3.8-liter V6 with 199 hp gasoline and the 2.8-liter VM diesel with 177 hp.
Four versions of this JK model are available: Sport, Sport Plus, Sahara and Rubicon, the latter much more aggressive and with more off-road characteristics: equipped with Dana 44 axles, front and rear locks and an electrically disconnectable stabilizer bar via an internal button.
